Creative Producer Intern

From June 2024 to 2025, I worked as a Creative Producer Intern for The Walt Disney Company in the National Geographic department. From conceptual pitches to admin and delivery, I would create, produce and direct promotional content for linear and digital platforms.

As a result of my work, I was nominated for Best Newcomer Creative and Best Use of Music at the 2025 GEMA UK and EMEA Awards

Linear Campaigns

Here are some of the broadcast-ready promos I created for on-air delivery across the UK, EMEA & MENA regions. Using Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud and working with in-house audio and GFX designers, I was able to strengthen my creative abilities, self-confidence, and leadership skills. I quickly learned what content our clientele reacted positively to by considering past analytics, and would keep these results in mind when producing content for campaigns I was assigned.

Social Media Campaigns.

I would also create upwards of 30 social media posts each month for various campaigns across National Geographic. By working closely with the Digital Marketing team, I was able to produce content for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube platforms, as well as bespoke pieces for high-priority campaigns, which gave me more freedom to create a narrative and expand my skillset.

The Animal Genius post received over 3.4 million views on Instagram, and our profile gained over 200 followers from this post alone, soaring our profile analytics for that month!

It was also my responsibility to oversee Continuity voiceover sessions each month, working with two voiceover artists each month, remotely with Rob Jarvis for National Geographic Core and in-house with Kerri Murphy for National Geographic Wild recordings.

I would reformat and proofread scripts, as well as direct the voiceover artists to ensure each line was received clearly and within the 15-second time limit.

It was then my responsibility to securely transfer these recordings to the media planning team for smooth delivery every month.

VOLUNTEERING WITH BEE URBAN!

9 months into my internship, I had the opportunity to volunteer at BeeUrban, a honey farm in Kennington, London.

Visiting the honey farm was a really rewarding experience. I spent my day clearing leaves, building beehives, and mixing fresh compost so new flowers would be able to bloom. These simple tasks felt surprisingly meaningful, especially working side by side with my team on these hands-on activities.

It brought us closer together, deepening our connection and shared appreciation for nature. I got to sample some fresh honey too, leaving the grounds with a pot I bought from their local gift shop!

It was more than just farm work; it was a way to give back to the local communities and grow as a team.
